CoSentiment is a product of Sonare LLC, a company registered in the United States ("we", "us", or "our"). Sonare LLC operates cosentiment.com and the CoSentiment mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By using CoSentiment, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (or OAuth token if you sign in with Google).
• Watchlist data: Companies you add to your watchlist and alert thresholds you set.
• Community ratings: Ratings and comments you submit about companies. These are displayed anonymously in aggregate.
• Payment information: If you subscribe to CoSentiment Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages you visit, features you use, and how long you spend on the Service.
• Device information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and IP address.
• Push notification tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store your device's push subscription endpoint.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We aggregate publicly available data from third-party sources including app stores, review platforms, social media, prediction markets, and economic data providers to compute company sentiment scores. This data relates to companies, not individuals.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service, including your watchlist, alerts, and personalized score views
• To send you score alert emails and weekly digest emails based on your watchlist
• To process your subscription payment through Stripe
• To improve our signal fusion algorithms and scoring models
• To communicate with you about product updates and new features
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to serve advertisements.

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments, Resend for email delivery, Neon for database hosting, and Vercel for hosting. Each provider has their own privacy practices.
• Bewatu bridge: If you sign up via Bewatu.com, we may share your CoSentiment Pro trial status with Bewatu to activate your referral benefit. No other personal data is shared.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights.
• Business transfer: If Sonare LLC or CoSentiment is acquired or merged, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Aggregated and anonymized data (such as community rating aggregates) may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

CoSentiment is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

9. Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store your browser's push subscription details to deliver score alerts to your device. You can disable push notifications at any time through your browser or device settings, or through your CoSentiment profile page.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
